When you complete our MSW – MBA dual degree program in as few as three years, you’ll have all the skills you need to run your own practice or work in a variety of high-level positions. Our program prepares you to be an advocate for the profession and the people you serve while having the ability to make effective business decisions. Specialize in either direct practice or macro practice to achieve your unique career goals.
This is a unique interdisciplinary dual degree, which offers the opportunity to examine both the theoretical and practical aspects of business administration while also studying social work. The dual degree requires only an additional 27 credits of business course work beyond the MSW requirements.
Our supportive faculty members will help you achieve your goals through projects, fieldwork and study. Upon graduation, you’ll be an ethical and competent leader who can meet the challenges and opportunities of the social work profession.

Curriculum
Our dual program curriculum is comprehensive and combines critical core knowledge in social work and business with low residency and fieldwork to prepare you for diverse roles.
After completing the 24-31 classes, consisting of 63-84 credits of engaging coursework, you’ll know how to manage employees, interpret data for decision-making, develop business plans and take on a multitude of high-level social work positions in areas where they can make a significant impact.

- A completed online application.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Official copies of all undergraduate and graduate transcripts.
- A personal essay describing academic objectives.
- A current résumé or curriculum vitae (CV).
- Two letters of recommendation.
- An interview with an admissions committee member (may be required).
- At least two years of work experience (preferred).
