In as few as three years, you can earn both your MSW and MBA through Carlow’s unique online dual degree program. Whether your goal is to open your own practice or serve in an executive leadership role, this interdisciplinary degree equips you with the skills, knowledge, and ethical grounding to succeed. Our program prepares you to be an advocate for the profession and the people you serve while making effective business decisions. Specialize in either direct practice or macro practice to achieve your unique career goals.
This is a unique interdisciplinary dual degree, which offers the opportunity to examine both the theoretical and practical aspects of business administration while also studying social work. The dual degree requires only an additional 27 credits of business course work beyond the MSW requirements.
You’ll work closely with faculty who bring extensive experience in both social work and business. Through mentorship, hands-on projects, and fieldwork, they’ll guide your growth as a compassionate and effective leader. Upon graduation, you’ll be an ethical leader who can meet the challenges and opportunities of the social work profession while making a meaningful difference in the community you serve.

Across 24-31 classes, consisting of 63-84 credits of engaging coursework, you’ll learn to manage employees, interpret data for decision-making, develop business plans and take on a multitude of high-level social work positions in areas where you can make a significant impact.
